UPDATE: We have updated our designs! We previously offered "Standard" and "Long Travel" options. Going forward, all of our loops for these trucks will be "Long Travel" rated. Instead of deciding whether to select "Standard" or "Long Travel," you'll simply be able to select your kit based on what transmission your truck has. There is now a kit that fits trucks with ALL Automatic transmissions and both NV4500 and G56 manual transmissions. There is also a separate kit that fits NV5600 transmissions, the 6-speed transmission offered between 2003-2005.0.

It's no secret that 3rd and 4th generation Rams are prone to catastrophic front driveshaft failures.

These failures typically occur at the double cardan joint on the upper end of the shaft, next to the transfer case.

After the driveshaft or transfer case breaks free, the loose driveshaft is likely to come through the cab floor, and/or rupture nearby fuel/brake/transmission lines, causing fire in some cases.

This driveshaft loop will not prevent driveshaft failures but will protect from secondary damage in the event of a failure.

It is still recommended to grease and inspect your driveshaft frequently.

This kit features laser cut, powder coated 1/4" plate steel construction and includes all necessary high-tensile hardware.

This kit is compatible with most lift kits with up to 6" of lift.

    May never have a front drive shaft failure, but this front drive shaft loop kit gives future securement on my 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 6.7L , in case it ever does come loose for whatever reason, to hopefully keep it under control!!

    Driveshaft loop Install was smooth, fitment was great! Highly recommend for peace of mind. The Lock N Lube adapter needle fitting made greasing the cardan joint extremely easy! And the suggestion of bending it at a 45° with brake line benders 2” from the needle tip helped access it perfectly.

    Installation was straightforward and easy to complete. The only discrepancy noted was that the instructions specified a 13mm socket and wrench, while a 15mm was actually required. This was a minor issue and did not impact the overall installation. The product demonstrates excellent craftsmanship, and shipping was prompt. Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase.

    I recently bought my 2005 Dodge 2500 and after doing so I found out about the front drive shaft issue. I certainly didn’t want that thing coming through the floor boards! I stumbled across FiveNine form a FaceBook add. And very quickly realized this is what I needed to prevent any damage to my truck of the U joint breaks! Took only a week to get to Georgia. And less than 20 minutes to install. I’m a mechanic so I was able to use my lift at work. Great product and very sturdy! Thank you so much for developing this!

    Affordable, solid built and easy to install. One of the cheapest and easiest mods you can install on your stock or high HP Cummins truck. It won't stop your front driveshaft from snapping but will stop it from coming through the floor board.

    Very easy install. Instructions were easy to follow didn’t really need them but helps with the pictures. Torqued to spec and paint marked nuts. Spending $100 is better than thousands if it was to hurt the trans or tcase.
